Refrigerator Method (Safest):
- Place the frozen beef in its original packaging or a leak-proof plastic bag on a plate or tray to catch any potential drips
- Let the meat thaw for 24 hours (for every 2 KG of meat) in your refrigerator
- Place the beef in a leak-proof plastic bag
- Submerge the bag in cold tap water
- Allow approximately 30 minutes of thawing time for every 1 lb of beef. Remember to change the water every 30 minutes.
- Once thawed, cook your premium beef immediately for a delicious meal.
- Avoid thawing beef at room temperature to prevent bacterial growth and potential foodborne illnesses
- Refrain from refreezing raw or uncooked meat once it has thawed
- Ensure thorough cooking of the beef to the recommended internal temperature for guaranteed food safety
